Your job is to excavate the sites to recover the finds
Collect the gold torcs or coins. As you ignore all health and safety procedures by omitting to shutter the excavations
you have to avoid the falling rocks!
Along the way, you'll encounter these archaeological features:
![]() |
Foundations A section of wall which you leave in situ |
![]() |
Soil You can excavate through soil, leaving empty spaces |
![]() |
Stone Wall This wall can be destroyed if, say, you blow up a metal detectorist next to it |
![]() |
Magic Wall Just as destructible as the Stone Wall. If you drop a rock into the Magic Wall, it turns into a torc. If you drop a torc, it becomes a rock. There has to be an empty space under the Magic Wall, or else the falling rock or torc will be swallowed by the wall and lost forever. |
![]() |
Hippy Protestor Vocal site worshipper who will try to prevent your wanton destruction. Moves shambolically clockwise. If you squash one with a rock or torc, he explodes. Deadly to the touch. |
![]() |
Metal Detectorist Annoying site scavenger who will try to prevent your legitimate site excavation. Moves systematically anti-clockwise. If you squash one with a rock or torc, he explodes, dropping all his accumulated treasure (recover them so you can record them properly later...). Deadly to the touch. |
![]() |
Exit When you collect the required number of torcs, this will appear. Pass through it to get to the next level |
At any time during the game, you can press ESC or hit Restart if you
become hopelessly stuck. If you hold the SHIFT key while moving in any direction, you will affect the element in that
direction without actually moving there. Therefore, you can clear earth, move a rock, or collect a torc while standing still.
You may move to the previous and next levels using the buttons provided, but your score will only be permanently recorded when you successfully complete a level.
