Monday 7th January 2002 8.00pm The White Hart Pub, Stoke Goldington Annual Quiz. More of the same light hearted and fiendishly excruciating puzzles.
Sunday 3rd February 2002 11.00am Thrupp Farm Cottages A visit to the dig at Thrupp Farm Cottages near Abingdon to look at an excavation by the Abingdon Area Archaeological & Historical Society on the Upper Thames Gravels. Two sites of Iron age and Romano British date, including the site of an Iron Age trackway and ancient river channels
Monday 4th March 2002 8.00pm Milton Keynes Central Library Local History and Archives. A visit to see the archives and local history at Central Milton Keynes Libary. Ruth Mearden of the library service will guide us through some of the interesting local documents available.
Meet at the Local History Library (entrance on left of the main doors) at CMK Library, 8.00pm
Monday 8th April 2002 8.00pm The City Discovery Centre, Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes Rob Atkins of Northamptonshire Archaeology will be talking to us about Burial Practices through the Ages. He has promised to bring along some burial urns and artefacts for us to look at.

Monday 13th May 2002 8.00pm The City Discovery Centre, Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes Don Hurst will be talking to us about The Buildings of Newport Pagnell. This should be an informative and interesting talk on a local subject.

Monday 10th June 2002 7.30pm Castlethorpe Milton Keynes Council's Archaeologial Officer Brian Giggins will be giving us a guided tour around the village of Castlethorpe. Meet at 7.30pm outside the church in Castlethorpe

Monday 1st July 2002 8.00pm The City Discovery Centre, Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes Annual General Meeting. Current state and future plans for the society. Your chance to air your views and discuss matters.
Sunday 21st July 2002, 12.00pm Wrest Park Gardens, Bedfordshire Annual Picnic English Heritage property. Historic formal gardens laid in the early 18th century, and now quite rare being one of the few to survive the 'natural landscape' transformations of the middle 18th century.
Bring your own food and drink.
Entrance fees - Adults £3.80, Children £1.90, Concession £2.90.
Location - 3/4 mile east of Silsoe off A6, 10 miles south of Bedford. Meet outside the entrance.
Monday 2nd September 2002 8.00pm The City Discovery Centre, Bradwell Abbey, Milton Keynes North Bucks Earthworks Survey
The first workshop meeting for our survey of the earthworks of North Buckinghamshire. Through the use of maps, and later aerial photographs and site surveys, we hope to produce a comprehensive analysis of the known (and hopefully still to be discovered) earthworks in our area. First meeting to start this project with examination of local maps.

As this is a fund raising event, there is a £5 charge (£6 for non members). Food and the first drink are provided. Partners welcome. Please let Isabel if you are able to attend.

The second workshop meeting for our survey of the earthworks of North Buckinghamshire. Following on from the visit of some members to the county archive in Aylesbury, we should now be able continue our survey with much greater information on the Astwood area.
Meet in the upstairs room at Bradwell Abbey.
