A chance to visit some of the churches mentioned in Susan Daish's talk in May. We intend to visit the Church at Lathbury, know for its Mediaeval wall paintings, and the contrasting 17th Century church of Gayhurst.
Meet at 8.00pm at Lathbury (just north of Newport Pagnell, off the road to Stoke Goldington). |

A Practical Evening
Our old friend Richard Ivens will be bring along some pottery he has excavated from local sites. This should include some items from one of the many kilns at Potterspury (just north of Old Stratford), including the one members of society helped to excavated a couple of years ago. |

Open Discussion Meeting. An informal discussion meeting to discuss our plans and alternatives for field work in the near future. This will include possible sites for field walking in the North Bucks area, particularly in the Ouse Valley. We also have a real possibility to continue our excavation work, with the likelihood of assisting in the excavation of a Mediaeval pottery kiln in Potterspury. Some of you will be aware this was the site of our societies first involvement in a dig, and Richard Ivens & Isabel are trying to sort out the arrangements for the excavation of another kiln in the same area. |
